John and Edward’s own mentor Louis Walsh has admitted that he expects the twins known as Jedward to go soon - and would be grateful if they even lasted just one more week.

John and Edward’s own mentor Louis Walsh has admitted that he expects the twins known as Jedward to go soon, and would be grateful if they even lasted just one more week.

The judge has guided the tuneless twins to nationwide notoriety, but isn’t worried that they are due for The X Factor axe, as he thinks it’s already a case of “job done”.

Louis admitted: "This is it now, we are running out of time - it would be great if we could just make it through one more week.

"The boys have been home to Ireland to visit their family, but the sad thing is that Ireland can't vote for them. Those votes would have been crucial."

However, the Westlife manager doesn’t think they are the ones who deserve to go this weekend, instead pointing the finger at pint-sized singer Lloyd Daniels.

He said: "I think this weekend Lloyd should go, if it comes down to popularity anyway. But even if Jedward get knocked out, as far as I'm concerned it's job done."

Harris 'banned from X Factor for life'

981042cn

Calvin Harris will not be allowed to visit the X Factor studios ever again following his antics on Saturday night's show, a report has claimed.

(view the video here)

The musician was thrown out by bosses in the latest performance round after he stormed the stage with a pineapple on his head as John & Edward sang Queen hit 'Under Pressure'. He was on set ahead of a planned appearance on ITV2 spinoff The Xtra Factor later in the evening.

A source told the Daily Record: "Simon Cowell did not see the funny side. He thinks Calvin Harris is an idiot."

The insider added: "Fortunately, most viewers missed his stunt. It could have ruined the show and made the voting process a complete farce. Calvin will not be appearing on X Factor ever again."

Harris has already denied using John & Edward for publicity. He also recently insisted that he wants the pair to win the contest.

Video of Calvin's Jedward stage invasion

POP star Calvin Harris was ejected from The X Factor last night - after invading the stage with a pineapple on his head.

Calvin ran onto the set during John and Edward's rendition of Under Pressure - using the fruit to mimic the brothers' hair cuts.

He slapped his bum before running off and getting thrown out by security. You can watch the video below:

Calvin - whose No1 hits include Dance Wiv Me and I'm Not Alone - later Tweeted about the incident.

Posting a picture of a pineapple on his profile, the musician wrote: "Was just thrown out of X Factor for jumping onstage during Jedward with a pineapple on my head.

"At the end of the day, I had a pineapple on my head. Sorry if I caused anyone embarrassment.

"PS I love Jedward."

An X Factor spokesman said: "Apparently Calvin is a huge John and Edward fan but it's unacceptable to storm the stage whilst an act is performing."

Judge Dannii Minogue Tweeted: "Calvin Harris, you naughty boy!"

Jedward's mash-up of Under Pressure and Vanilla Ice's Queen-sampling Ice Ice Baby won an ovation from the crowd, who usually boo them.

Simon Cowell told the boys: "I cant judge you in the real world.

"I have to judge you in Jedward land and if I'm there, that has to be your best performance."

Jedward - along with remaining finalists Olly Murs, Stacey Solomon, Jamie Archer, Joe McElderry, Danyl Johnson and Lloyd Daniels - will find out tonight if they did enough to survive until next week.

JLS steal chart top spot

jls

LONDON (Reuters) - Boyband wonders JLS pipped Robbie Williams to the number one spot in the album chart on Sunday in one of the most tightly contested battles in chart history.

The British band's self-titled album beat Robbie Williams' "Reality Killed The Video Star" to the top, with a winning margin between them of less than one percent.

Both albums smashed the 200,000 sales barrier, the Official Charts Company said. They are the fastest selling albums of the year so far, ahead of Eminem's "Relapse" and U2's "No Line On The Horizon."

JLS, last year's runners up on British TV talent show the "X Factor," knocked Cheryl Cole, a judge on the show, off pole position for the second time in a week.

Last week they knocked her from the top of the single's charts.

There are three other new entries in the album charts Top 10 this week: Snow Patrol's "Up To Now" at number three, Biffy Clyro's "Only Revolutions" at number eight and Rod Stewart's Soulbook at number ten.

In the Official UK Singles Chart, American hip hop band Black Eyed Peas climbed two places to number one with "Meet Me Halfway"

New entries in the Top 10 singles were N-Dubz at number five with "I Need You," Britney Spears "3" at number seven, and the new Sugababes line-up saw "About A Girl" go straight in at number eight.

Jamie Archer voted off X Factor

Jamie Archer has left the X Factor after failing to win the public vote with his rendition of Queen's The Show Must Go On.

He and Lloyd Daniels came bottom of the score board for the public vote and so faced a sing-off.

But after the judges decision resulted in a tie it was left up to the public to make a final decision for the fourth week running.
