Joe Calzaghe has claimed that Strictly Come Dancing is a fix, saying that his own exit from the show was engineered by TV bosses after he argued with them about dance rival Craig Kelly. The champion boxer and his partner Kristina Rihanoff managed to stay in the show for five weeks, despite regularly being slated by the judges for his "rigor mortis" dancing style. "Don't you think it's odd we went out when we were in the bottom for four weeks and the public kept voting for us?" he said. "We had the highest votes every week, the producers told us. Then all of a sudden we lost out in the judges' vote. Something was up."
The sportsman refused to reveal what he'd done to upset producers, saying only: "I know it's down to something I said about Craig Kelly." A spokesman for the BBC said that any suggestion the show was fixed was "ridiculous".
