Robert Pattinson has revealed all about his “striptease” for Twilight: New Moon, saying it made him more nervous than he’s ever been.
Rob plays vampire Edward Cullen in the sequel, and said that having to measure up to the newly muscle-bound Taylor Lautner in a scene where he had to have his shirt open.
Of the scene that’s sure to have RPat fans salivating, Rob said: “That was the only reason, that moment, that I went to the gym in the first place, because I was so terrified about that, and luckily it was right at the end of the shoot.
“And especially seeing Taylor, who’s got his shirt off the entire time. I was more nervous than I’ve ever been, and there were also two and a half thousand fans right in front of you, all looking round, and you’re literally doing a striptease.
“I was thinking: ‘All you guys are going to think I’m doing it just for you, and it’s really embarrassing!’”
Luckily there’s not too long to wait now as Twilight: New Moon is released on November 20, and Rob has been taken back by the reaction in general, a hint of which was given at comic book convention Comic-Con earlier this year.
He admitted: “It’s crazy. People says it’s testing really well, the movie. And I think of the episode of Comic Con, where you can literally put on the word Twilight on the screen and people start screaming.”
